Steven Moffat has confirmed that Peter Capaldi will return for Series 9, while Jenna Coleman is yet to sign up.
This is interesting since I've heard two people say that Clara is in the series 9 scripts and more than a few media people have stated (I'll paraphrase them all as one): "Coleman seems very active in promoting Dr Who and making appearances in connection with the series for someone who has 'left' it"
