PLEASE Consider Supporting CBO

Please consider supporting Comic Bits Online because it is a very rare thing in these days of company mouthpiece blogs that are only interested in selling publicity to you. With support CBO can continue its work to bring you real comics news and expand to produce the video content for this site. Money from sales of Black Tower Comics & Books helps so please consider checking out the online store.
Thank You

Troller On CBO

This is a no Trolling site.  What is “trolling”?

According to Wikipedia:

In internet slang, a troll is someone who posts inflammatory extraneous, or off topic messages in an online community, such as an online discussion forum, chat room, or blog, with the primary intent of provoking readers into an emotional response or of otherwise disrupting normal on-topic discussion. The noun troll may refer to the provocative message itself, as in: “That was an excellent troll you posted.”

While the word troll and its associated verb trolling are associated with Internet discourse, media attention in recent years has made such labels subjective, with trolling describing intentionally provocative actions and harassment  outside of an online context.

CBO gets its fair share of trollers and one in particular who objects to most everything I write on British comics and the industry and who, along with an associate last year trolled CBO.  As far as I was concerned I wanted neithers opinion since they admitted to causing the harassment -and that is what it was- and though one perpetrator said he was sick of CBO and “out of here” on…4 occasions he keeps coming back.

He was told outright on CBO that he was banned from the blog.  He carries his trolling on here at CBO and elsewhere.  His comments are saved but deleted from CBO. His actions are, as far as I am concerned, internet harassment. If he posts to CBO again he will be reported to Word Press as a troller/spammer.
Arizona is already planning on making trolling illegal.  There are other states looking at this.  In the UK watchdogs are also calling for this.

If -if- this person attempts to approach me or speak to me at the coming Bristol Expo then that will be taken as the last act of harassment.  My solicitor will become involved and the person named.

It is sad when persons see their careers disappearing and need to attract attention to themselves. It is not tolerated here.

The person HAS been warned.
