Thor Ragnarok and Planet Hulk In ONE Movie??

Some interesting news posted by Alisha Grauso over at MoviePilot.com. http://moviepilot.com/posts/3945090?utm_source=fb-channel-scifi-movie-channel&utm_medium=facebook&utm_campaign=rumor-can-we-expect-a-planet-hulk-part-in-thor-ragnarok

How are they going to pull a huge storyline such as Planet Hulk into a movie starring Thor and titled "Ragnarok"?  Another lengthy movie, perhaps?  It was rather heavily condensed for the animated movie but thinking Di$ney is going to care about comic continuity and history might be being very naiive!

On top of the official Thor: Ragnarok casting news we got last week, a new report has surfaced that provides more details about the plot of the third Thor movie. According to JoBlo, the film will definitely pull in elements of Planet Hulk, acting as something of a mash-up between the two stories.

Parts of 'Planet Hulk' will play out in 'Thor: Ragnarok'

While it's not going to be a direct adaptation of the Planet Hulk storyline, we can still expect a twist on the story during the events of Thor: Ragnarok, says the report. It's not yet clear how Thor and the Hulk will end up being on the same planet yet, but regardless, the pair end up together for some gladitorial-style games that have been orchestrated by none other than Jeff Goldblum's Grandmaster.

Grandmaster is one of the Elders of the Universe who focuses mainly on game playing at a massive, cosmic level. So it makes sense that he'd pit Hulk and Thor against other combatants, or even against one another. How on earth this fits into the larger context of the Marvel Cinematic Universe remains to be seen, but there still are a few Infinity Stones floating around out there. It's worth noting that at one point in the comics, Grandmaster possessed the Mind Gem but lost it to Thanos. Just sayin'.

But this isn't the only change happening. Our characters are going to have some drastically different looks this time around.

Both Thor and Hulk will have drastic changes to their appearances

Along with the plot rumors, there are also apparently some changes in store for the appearances of our Avengers. Unsurprisingly, Hulk will be rocking his customary Planet Hulk look with the one-shouldered armor. It would be almost impossible to do that storyline without the iconic look, so it's not that much of a reveal to expect him to wear that at some point in the film.

But perhaps more surprising is the report that, at least for this portion of the film, our God of Thunder will be sans his trademark flowing locks and instead will be sporting a shaved head. Whether by choice or by force remains to be seen, but it seems fitting in either case. A last tidbit is that Valkyrie, played by newcomer Tessa Thompson, will be wearing Native American-like warpaint on her face, though the JoBlo article was unclear as to whether it will be for the entire film or whether she'll be included in the gladiator portion of the film.
